18 Kids And Counting

Have you seen this show? This family is seriously crazy! They don't let their children watch TV, the mother home schools ALL 18 kids, all their names start with the letter 'J', the father's name is Jim Bob, the girls will cover the younger boys eyes if they see an immodestly dressed girl walking down the street, they don't let their children date until they are engaged and even then they have to be chaperoned, and they can't kiss until their married!

Looks like their oldest son and his wife have been doing a lot more than just kissing now that their married!

Yep, they are now getting a grandchild!

I think if I was related to this family, I would share many of the cousin Amy's opinions. They seem to be a very religious family and believe in God and the Word, but in the bible it is said that if you excess in something, you are sinning. I really do think god meant everything including children. There is a point when, there is too much. It is not to say that each one of their children isn't special, they are but my opinion is they should stop. I think children being a gift from God is more meant to say that you should have an amount you can handle. Your older children having to take care of your younger children is something of the past when you had to have many children to take care of the farm. With how the world works now, you do not need to have many children to make money to survive. Older children should not have to raise their siblings. The children are also lacking in the attention they should be able to get from their parents. You cannot have 18 children and pay enough attention to each one of them. It is just impossible. Like I said, I think they are in excess with the amount of children they have and in that, they are living in sin.

I agree, 18 kids is way too many! They are forcing their older children to become parents themselves! They need to be kids too ya know? And I've talked with friends that had about 10 kids in their family and they said they when they were young, they never knew who was their mom and who was their sister!

Sad.
