Sunshine Cleaning

This movie is about a woman who has a maid service business but decides that where the real money lies is to clean up after dead bodies. So she starts cleaning up after crime scenes with her sister. I really liked it! It sounds weird I know, but it's actually really charming and funny.

I loved it!

Defiance

The hubster and I both loved this movie. It's kind of like a disturbing Robin Hood film. It takes place during the Holocaust and is based on true events of a few brothers who help other Jews find safety.

Hounddog

Starring Dakota Fanning (love her!) this movie is about a young girl living in the slums with a dead beat dad. She is in love with Elvis and will do anything to get a ticket to his concert. The events that unfold are shocking and saddening as she continues to make the most out of her poor life.

Gossip Girl

Ok, I didn't want to watch this show because the name just put me off. Gossip Girl? Come on, could we be a little more original please?

But I heard it was good so I gave it a try and I'm hooked! There is a website in the show called Gossip Girl where all the dirt is shared on a bunch of high school students in New York. Hence the name. It's like OC with all the rich high school students but 10 times better and less fake.

Rachel Getting Married

Ok, Anne Hathaway is not Rachel. Anne Hathaway is not the one getting married.

I was confused for the first 15 minutes because I thought she was Rachel.

Ok, this movie is not for everyone but I liked it. It's a real movie where you have to think and dig deep to really understand and appreciate it.

My husband hated it. So it may not be for guys. The movie portrays Anne Hathaway in a very different role than her usual hollywood sugar gumdrop roles. I loved her in this! It was depressing at times but the ending was great and tied everything up with a nice happy bow.

MILK

This was a pretty good show, but when I found it a little boring. When I watched it I really was more in the mood to be entertained, not to learn something. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE shows that have a message, but my brain was tired when I watched it so it was a bit boring to me.

I LOVE Sean Penn, I think he is such a good actor. Especially in I Am Sam, he broke my heart in that show! He does amazing in this show too!

The show has a good message and hey, it's history. Movies are the only way I learn about history!

Pineapple Express

What is Pineapple Express? Why weed of course! I honestly thought this movie was about some train called Pineapple Express. Don't judge.

This movie is hilarious! I love watching funny movies with my hubster because he just laughs so hard!

Heroes Season 2 on DVD

Changeling

I thought this show was so good! I didn't know what to expect but it definitely kept my attention. Alex was enthralled too and that takes a lot! It's not a happy movie, but I recommend you go see it!

The International

Saw this with Big Al on V-day, I know we are a very romantic couple! Overall it was pretty good. It was very slow at the beginning but then there is this action scene that totally makes up for it! Wow, it's crazy. But the end didn't really satisfy because nothing ever got resolved.

Bert and I thought this movie was pretty good. I thought the beginning was pretty slow, but now I understand they had to give a lot of history to make the rest of the movie believable and in the end the parts I thought were unnecessary at the beginning all tied together.
